Red + AIKO: Red wants to press every moving button after the build; AIKO likes the tidy hardware logic of a 1,911-piece shell with two game scenes inside.
LEGO Japan will begin general sales of its adult LEGO PlayStation set on October 4 for ¥27,980. The 1,911-piece model brings the original console and controller into brick form, while hidden game-inspired scenes give the familiar hardware another layer to explore.
A near-life-size build with working buttons
The model recreates the gray silhouette of the original PlayStation and is described as close to actual size. Its Open and Power buttons can be pressed, adding a tactile detail to a set designed around the console’s recognizable shape.
Gran Turismo and Ape Escape scenes inside
Opening the console reveals two miniature dioramas. One features a course inspired by the 1997 game Gran Turismo, while the other draws from the 1999 game Ape Escape and includes its iconic red and blue monkey helmets. These interior scenes turn the finished model into a display piece with details waiting beneath the outer shell.
