AKIBA PC Hotline reported on September 5 that Kaden no Ken-chan in Akihabara had received a used PlayStation 2 Debugging Station DTL-H10000. Built for game development and testing, the machine offers a glimpse of the hardware used around PS2 software production.
The PS2 with a TEST mark
The DTL-H10000 differs visibly from a retail PlayStation 2 through the TEST marking on its top logo. This unit comes with a manual and has been checked to power on. Its listed price is ¥178,000.
Earlier PlayStation development boards join it
The same store also received three boards made for original PlayStation development: the ISA-bus DTL-H2000, the PCI-bus DTL-H2500, and the DTL-H201A graphics artist board. Each is untested and listed at ¥88,000.
