Snackgirls react

AIKO — The useful part is being able to revise the first request instead of discarding it. Lighting has discovered version control—apparently without the merge conflicts.

Kirari — I’d set contrasting colors in the upper and lower layers, then frame the whole house at dusk. That dual-layer glow could make one exterior photo feel carefully staged.

Govee says AI Lighting Bot 2.0 lets users request a lighting scene and refine it through multi-turn follow-up conversation, with text, voice, and image accepted as inputs. AI-powered group control is planned rather than currently available, and launch dates for South Korea and Japan have not been announced; local pricing for those markets remains undisclosed.

A lighting request can become a dialogue

Announced for IFA 2026 on September 3, Govee’s AI Lighting system can take an initial scene request and adjust it through follow-up dialogue. The company describes these AI features as extending across its indoor and outdoor lighting categories.

That does not mean every Govee light supports every AI or Matter function. Govee has not provided a complete compatibility list, so support still needs to be considered product by product.

Ceiling and strip lights take different routes

The Sky Ceiling Light applies AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to a stated mood or daily need. Govee lists a 478nm sky-blue spectrum, a 1,000K–10,000K range, up to 7,000 lumens of white-light output, and CRI 95. It also cites TÜV Rheinland flicker-free and low-glare certification, an RG0 blue-light rating, DaySync adjustments based on time and weather, and Matter support.

The COB Strip Light 2 Pro turns text or voice prompts into lighting scenes. Its listed hardware includes 1,344 LEDs and 16 ICs per meter, a triple-layer groove, RGBWWIC with LuminBlend+, 1,000K–10,000K adjustment, and CRI 92. A lower-tier COB Strip Light 2 was announced alongside it.

Two zones bring split effects outdoors

Each head on the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro contains two independently controlled lighting zones, allowing its upper and lower layers to display different colors or effects at the same time. The official US product page identifies H3A51 as the 100-foot version and H3A53 as the 200-foot version, and it shows Matter support.

Govee’s September 3 announcement scheduled the Sky Ceiling Light and both COB strips for September 4 in the United States and European Union. The outdoor model was scheduled for September 7 in the United States only, while Govee’s IFA page continued to describe that date as an expected launch rather than establishing that sales were live everywhere.
