HiFiMAN announced the Svanar Wireless 2 on September 2, 2026, and its official store now lists the true-wireless earbuds in stock for $299. Each 7.4g earpiece combines the company’s HYMALAYA Mini R-2R DAC with an independent balanced Class AB amplifier, an unusual pairing inside such a compact wireless design.
What the R-2R DAC does inside the earbud
An R-2R resistor ladder is one approach to converting digital audio into an analog signal inside the earbud. It does not remove Bluetooth compression, and its presence alone does not guarantee better sound. HiFiMAN says the HYMALAYA Mini contains twice as many resistors in one-fifth the space of its previous implementation, enabling a smaller enclosure and reducing each earpiece from 8g to 7.4g. The design also includes a 10mm dynamic driver with Topology Diaphragm technology.
LDAC and L2HC need the right source
Bluetooth 6.0, LDAC and L2HC are specified. Using LDAC or L2HC requires a compatible source device, and the codec labels do not promise lossless playback.
Four to eight hours, with the app still to come
For newcomers considering a premium true-wireless model, the unusual internal design comes with practical conditions. HiFiMAN specifies roughly four to eight hours per earbud charge depending on mode and use, while the case can provide three full additional charges. ANC is rated at up to 35dB and IPX5 resistance is specified, though that ANC figure is not an independent real-world comparison against competing earbuds. The HIFIMAN Mobile App is planned for firmware updates, touch-gesture customization and EQ, but it is not available yet; HiFiMAN says it will arrive soon.

Nea At 7.4g, fit is the part I’d want to try for myself. The four-to-eight-hour range also makes me wonder which listening mode I’d settle into day to day.
