Max Factory begins shipping the PLAMAX PX18 1/72 VF-1J Armored Valkyrie on October 6, 2026. The assembly kit brings the armored Battroid from the TV anime Super Dimension Fortress Macross into a display focused on its powerful, cohesive silhouette.

Fixed armor, selectable missile hatches
Transformation and armor-removal mechanisms are deliberately omitted to preserve the proportions seen in the design sheets and anime. This Valkyrie is built to stay in its armored Battroid form.
The weapon-container hatches are assembled either open or closed; they do not move between those positions afterward. You can also build a configuration depicting all the micro-missiles firing, as a static display rather than a working projectile feature.
Six molded colors and a Minmay companion
The parts are molded in six colors, with water-slide decals to add detail to the assembled model. A same-scale Lynn Minmay Miss Macross Contest Ver. figure is included.
