- Yamaha has announced the R200A, an entry-level HiFi stereo receiver for separate wired speakers.
- Built-in MM phono amplification and Bluetooth reception let records and phone audio share the same system.
- The Japan launch is planned for late November 2026, with a suggested retail price of ¥55,000 including tax.
A CD player, an MM turntable and a phone can all feed the same wired stereo through Yamaha’s newly announced R200A. The entry-level HiFi stereo receiver gives listeners a way to keep physical music sources in use while also playing audio from their phones.

Red I want to try switching from a CD to phone audio on the receiver itself. Let me get my hands on those buttons and knobs.
Nea I’d like to hear a full side of a game soundtrack LP without skipping. I wonder how the track order would carry the mood from one piece to the next.
Records by cable, phone audio by Bluetooth
The R200A has four analog audio inputs, including an MM phono input. Its built-in MM phono equalizer lets a turntable with an MM cartridge connect without a separate phono preamp.
Bluetooth receives audio from a phone, tablet or PC, with SBC and AAC codec support. For streaming music from a phone, the service runs on the phone and sends its audio to the receiver over Bluetooth.
A built-in FM/AM tuner also supports wide FM, with up to 40 station presets across the two bands.

Switch speaker pairs, or add a subwoofer later
Yamaha specifies a discrete power amplifier rated at 80W × 2. Two speaker terminal sets, A and B, support switching or simultaneous output while retaining two-channel stereo.
A single subwoofer pre-out allows a subwoofer to be added later. Headphone and analog line outputs provide further connection options.

A full-size receiver due in late November
The R200A is scheduled to launch in Japan in late November 2026, in black and silver finishes. The Japanese suggested retail price is ¥55,000 including tax.
The chassis measures 435mm wide, 328mm deep and 137mm high, and weighs 7.3kg. When planning the system, check the available shelf space alongside speaker placement and cable connections.
