Cyberpunk 2077’s next update lets you dual-wield pistols and revolvers

Cyberpunk 2077’s full patch notes reveal a new way to build around pistols and revolvers: Double Trouble lets players wield two at once, provided they belong to the Power category. The notes were published on October 21, ahead of the scheduled update.

Double Trouble joins the Cool tree

The new perk sits in the Cool tree alongside four supporting perks. Its weapon restriction matters when planning a build: Tech and Smart weapons are outside its scope, as are other gun types.

There is also more room to shape V’s appearance. Five Glamdoc shops offer appearance and color customization for Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and the Projectile Launch System. These are cosmetic changes, not new stat bonuses.

Console mods come with save-specific limits

Powered by mod.io, the new cross-platform mod system lets players browse and install a curated selection of player-created mods from an in-game menu. More will be added over time; this is not blanket compatibility with every PC mod.

Support covers PC, Mac, PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 as their respective updates arrive. On consoles, achievement and trophy earning is disabled while playing a modded save. That restriction applies to the save being played, not a permanent account-wide ban, and is not stated as a PC restriction.

The October 22 schedule covers PC, Mac versions distributed through Steam, GOG and the Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store version are due days later, without an exact date announced. The notes do not mean every version is already available to download.

A new quest set before Edgerunners 2

The new side quest Clampdown takes place before Edgerunners 2, with five pieces of King gear earned during the quest. A new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, adds tracks from the anime.

Other additions include saves grouped by playthrough, stash filters and a field-of-view slider on consoles. To unlock Clampdown, complete The Heist and two Wakako gigs, then wait for a message.
