SNACK: 3-line summary
- Moneycontrol has published a new review of the Noise Clutch HP-P01 gaming headset.
- The reviewer preferred stereo to virtual 7.1 for locating sounds in competitive play.
- Battery expectations depend on volume and RGB lighting; the review and advertised figures use different settings.
Moneycontrol published Shaurya Shubham’s review of the Noise Clutch HP-P01 on October 25, 2026. He preferred stereo for competitive play because virtual 7.1 sometimes made sound direction less precise—a useful reason to compare the modes before leaving surround switched on.

Snackgirls react
Red I want to try the same stretch of a game in stereo and virtual surround—let’s hear which one makes those footsteps easier to place!
Nea I’d like to listen to a busy game soundtrack on its own. When the full ensemble comes in, I wonder whether I could still follow each instrument.
Wider sound, less certain direction
The HP-P01 lets you toggle between stereo and virtual 7.1 surround. Shubham found that virtual surround made the sound feel more spacious but occasionally blurred where sounds were coming from. Try both modes in the same game, focusing on how easily you can place footsteps rather than assuming the wider presentation will help.
For music, he found instrument separation limited: densely layered tracks could sound crowded, with vocals and instruments tending to blend together.

The battery figures use different volume settings
Noise rates battery life at up to 40 hours with RGB lighting off or 20 hours with it on. Moneycontrol reports that those ratings use 50% volume; Shubham instead listened at about 80% volume and reported roughly 13–14 hours with RGB on and around 15 hours with it off. His higher-volume results are not a like-for-like test of the advertised maximums, and runtime varies with volume and operating mode.
Where the 24ms claim applies
There are three connection options: a 2.4GHz USB dongle, Bluetooth and a 3.5mm cable. Noise’s advertised 24ms latency applies only to the 2.4GHz wireless connection, not Bluetooth, and remains a manufacturer claim rather than an independently measured result.
The boom mic detaches when you don’t need voice chat. For listeners who like to tune their audio, there is a limitation to note: Shubham reports no companion app, custom EQ or software audio profiles.
