Snackgirls react

Kirari: The prize artwork is what I’d look at first. If I enter, I’d want a closer look at the paper deck case, too.

Nea: I’m curious which cards would end up working together once the packs are open. I’d enjoy finding a deck I hadn’t planned on building.

Where to book—and which shops take walk-ins

The event covers 16 Pokémon Card Shops and 13 official certified shops. Each store has its own dates and start times; not all 29 locations begin on October 31. Use the official event page to find the store schedule and online reservation link.

Pokémon Card Shops accept online reservations for up to 64 players per session. Booking normally opens at 18:00 KST on the Monday of the event week and closes at 23:59 KST the day before the session. This week’s Wednesday opening is the first-week exception: for an October 31 session, the deadline is October 30 at 23:59 KST.

Official certified shops accept walk-ins only, with up to 16 players per session. Registration is first come, first served after the store opens on event day, and you must attend in person—phone and proxy entries are not accepted. Crowding or safety concerns may limit or prevent walk-in registration.

Reservations cannot be transferred, and each person may reserve only one venue for events held at the same time. Cancel through the official reservation site within the booking period; cancellations through a store or customer service do not count. Late cancellations and no-shows may restrict future entry.

Open 15 packs, then build a 40-card deck

On event day, buy 15 Storm Emeralda packs at the hosting store for 22,500 won. Build a 40-card deck using cards from those packs, the two participation cards listed below and your own basic Energy. Bring that Energy with you: any supplies available to borrow or buy at the shop are limited.

Each match is a single game with four Prize cards and a 30-minute limit. The standard format is three Swiss rounds in groups of eight. Groups of four or fewer play round-robin instead; if only one player attends, they receive only the 15 packs and participation items.

You must record every card you open—not just your finished deck—on the card-list sheet provided at the venue. Bring damage counters, Poison and Burn markers, a Pokémon coin and other necessary battle items, plus spare sleeves. Cards may be swapped between matches, but taking notes during a match is not allowed.

Two routes to the Mega Gallade ex promo

In a standard eight-player group, winning all three rounds earns one Mega Gallade ex promo card. After the event, participants who did not earn the three-win prize compete in rock-paper-scissors, with one winner receiving the same promo. Entering the event alone does not guarantee that card.

The participation prizes are one Supporter promo card, one Item promo card and a paper deck case. Both participation cards are eligible for use in your event deck.
