Snackgirls react

AIKO — Ingredients, recipes, cooking and cleanup forming one coordinated chain is satisfying. At last, the appliances may have a meeting agenda.

Nea — A laundry system that adjusts to different clothing could be genuinely useful on mixed-load days. I’m curious how clearly Hisense will explain which models can join that routine.

Hisense demonstrated its AI Companion Suite at IFA 2026 in Berlin, with ConnectLife coordinating routines across the kitchen, laundry, air conditioning and household energy use. The scenarios are concrete, but consumer sale timing, country-by-country availability, compatible model lists and pricing have not been specified.

One kitchen routine from ingredients to cleanup

Hisense says the AI Companion Refrigerator can recognize stored ingredients and suggest meal ideas based on personal preferences. After a recipe is selected, the AI Companion Oven can support automatic cooking, while the wine cabinet recommends pairings and maintains suitable storage conditions.

The same kitchen flow extends to cleanup: Hisense describes the dishwasher as recognizing dish conditions and adjusting its cleaning accordingly.

Laundry, airflow and energy adapt to changing conditions

The AI Companion Laundry Suite is designed to recognize clothing characteristics, choose suitable wash and dry cycles, and adjust the process automatically. In living spaces, the air conditioner senses indoor conditions and user presence, then adapts airflow as people move through the room.

Hisense also demonstrated an energy system that considers weather and time-of-use electricity pricing to help optimize household energy use.

Four capability stages and a bounded Alexa+ rollout

Hisense describes V AIOS as the foundation for the connected devices, organizing their capabilities into four stages: Sense, Think, Communicate and Execute.

The company is also collaborating with Alexa+ through Amazon’s Smart Home AI Toolkit. Hisense says Alexa+ customers will be able to control select Hisense air conditioners in the coming months by stating what they need. Amazon’s developer documentation lists the toolkit as a preview that is not publicly available, with access requiring contact with an Amazon representative.
