Earth Defense Force 6 will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on January 28, 2027. D3 Publisher and Sandlot’s new version supports five language options, including Korean-language play, alongside English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese.
The date came from the TGS broadcast
The official Earth Defense Force account announced the exact date during its Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast. Switch 2 players will see the previous entry first, as Earth Defense Force 5 is scheduled for October 8, 2026.
What remains unannounced
Earth Defense Force 6 is already available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, but those are existing releases rather than newly announced platforms. Pricing, physical-edition details, performance specifications, save transfers, and cross-play support for the Switch 2 version have not been revealed.
