SNACK: 3-line summary
- YG has named BABYMONSTER’s next single ‘DESERVE’, describing a slower song with intense vocal power.
- ‘DESERVE’ is due October 23; TREASURE’s hip-hop single ‘SHOCK’ is planned for November 2.
- YG’s two new groups plan to record demos by year-end, with clearer debut timelines expected once title tracks are finalized.
BABYMONSTER’s upcoming single ‘DESERVE’ will slow the pace, according to YG—but the agency is promising plenty of vocal intensity. In an October 14 written update, Yang Hyun Suk described delicate vocals blending with explosive power as the song builds toward an emotional climax.

‘DESERVE’ in October, ‘SHOCK’ in November
‘DESERVE’ is scheduled for October 23 at 1 p.m. KST, roughly four months after ‘SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA’.
YG is also aiming to release BABYMONSTER’s next album in early 2027. That remains a tentative window.
TREASURE’s new digital single ‘SHOCK’ is planned for November 2, with YG describing a powerful hip-hop sound. June’s mini album ‘NEW WAV’ marked the start of the group’s second chapter and a shift in musical direction. YG says those second-chapter activities will continue into 2027.
Snackgirls react
Kirari: A slower pace with that kind of vocal power sounds like a striking contrast. I want to hear how ‘DESERVE’ reaches its emotional peak!
Nea: I’m curious how the demos will help each new group find its musical identity. I’d especially like to hear which direction they settle on for the title tracks.
Title tracks will shape the new groups’ debut timelines
YG is preparing a five-member boy group and a four-member girl group, with both planning to record demo songs by the end of 2026. Their debut timelines are expected to become clearer once the title tracks are finalized, so the year-end recording target is not a debut deadline. Yang also plans to share more updates in a YG ANNOUNCEMENT video toward the end of the year.
