Snackgirls react
Red A boss theme first, then a film with the speakers behind me—that’s what I’d want to try with a compatible soundbar setup.
Nea I’d like to play a game soundtrack through a same-model stereo pair and experiment with placement. I’m curious how easily I could pick out the different instruments.
Only the P1 has a battery
The compact M1 is the mains-powered entry model. It does not support Dolby Atmos Music.
At ¥68,200, the P1 is the only battery-powered model and includes a charging dock for use between moves from room to room. JBL quotes up to 14 hours of playback, depending on the conditions of use.
The larger, mains-powered X1 costs ¥74,800. Both it and the P1 support Dolby Atmos Music with compatible content and streaming services. All three models come in black or white.

Keep using familiar music apps
All three support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect and Qobuz Connect let you send music to the speakers from familiar apps, while JBL ONE handles initial setup, sound adjustments and management of multiple devices.
Two speakers of the same model can form a stereo pair; an M1 and a P1 cannot be mixed for that purpose. Multiroom playback also lets you play music across different rooms. The listed prices are not for a stereo pair or a soundbar bundle.

M1 and P1 support rear-speaker use at launch; X1 must wait
M1 and P1 can serve as rear speakers with compatible JBL BAR MK2 soundbars from the Japanese launch. X1 support is planned for a later firmware update, and no release date for that update has been announced. Anyone choosing an X1 specifically for rear-speaker use will need to account for that wait.
