Snackgirls react
Red I want to try that thin wire headband on a walk. I wonder how it sits when I turn my head.
Nea I’d reach for a familiar game soundtrack with vocals. I’m curious how final’s emphasis on vocal body comes through in the quieter lines.
A thin wire headband and replaceable pads
The new AirWire headband uses a thin wire to reduce weight and the area touching the head. The pads rest directly on the ears, so the light frame does not remove the need to check how that contact feels.
The orange and black versions share the same body design; the pad color is what changes. The pads are replaceable, with replacements planned for separate sale in 2027.

USB-C charging on both sides
final rates playback at up to eight hours and charging time at approximately 1.5 hours.
Each housing has its own USB-C charging port. As PHILE WEB reports, the left and right sides charge individually using the included split USB cable, so connecting just one housing does not charge both.
Wireless connectivity is Bluetooth 5.4 with SBC and AAC support. IPX4 splash resistance covers splashes, not immersion.

Before choosing PORTA for its weight
Preorders begin in Japan on October 16, with an expected tax-inclusive price of ¥12,800. At launch, PORTA will be available through final’s online store, audio specialists and electronics retailers in Japan.
final says the tuning aims for full-bodied vocals alongside a light, lively sound. That is the manufacturer’s design goal, rather than a listening impression.
If pressure on your ears bothers you, try the fit before buying and consider whether charging both housings suits your routine. There is no need to replace headphones that already work for you solely for a lower weight figure.
