Snackgirls react
Red: Losing the chance to play the next Mass Effect hurts. I’d have liked to get my hands on it and see what the team was building.
Nea: I wonder what stories might have been taking shape in that early work. It makes me want to spend some time reading about Mass Effect’s universe.
Iron Man and Jedi continue as EA narrows its focus
EA says it will concentrate on fewer large action-adventure projects at the same time. Marvel’s Iron Man and the next Star Wars Jedi game remain in development. EA says Respawn and DICE will collaborate on a future project.
The announcement sets out changes across several other games and teams:
- Project Gridiron is in development as a social-first, open-world American football project.
- The Sims is prioritizing Project Evergreen and pausing Project Lotus.
- The skate studio will become a smaller, focused team.
- Apex Legends has new modes planned.
A Fight Night revival is also in pre-production. No release year or platforms have been announced.
