Pentaconn’s SHIZUNE PM-SZ-01 gives concertgoers two included ear-tip setups: silicone tips listed for 23 dB reduction and Pentaconn COREIR mini tips listed for 20 dB. The interchangeable-tip earplugs launch in Japan on September 17, 2026, priced at ¥6,600.
Two tip setups, two listed reduction levels
The silicone set comes in S, M and L, while the included COREIR mini is size M. Pentaconn positions the COREIR mini option as preserving clearer outlines and more of the live feel, but neither setup is universally better. Other standard ear tips can be used when they fit the nozzle, although compatibility is not guaranteed.
Designed to stay out of the way
Pentaconn says the reflection characteristics of the aluminum housing and cap help preserve the outline of live sound. The angled body and flat rear are designed to reduce interference around the ear and make fitting and removal easier. Each housing weighs 2.1 g, and silver, gold and purple versions come with a carrying case.
Fit still matters
The 20 dB and 23 dB figures are product specifications, not guarantees of the same reduction in every venue. Tip choice should prioritize a secure seal and comfort, and venue rules still apply.
