Aiuto and qdc jointly planned LINEAR MAGIC as an earplug for live events. Announced in Japan on September 11, it goes on sale September 18, 2026 for ¥2,200. Its proprietary memory-foam acoustic filter carries a maker-listed noise-reduction range of 25–30 dB, with the stated aim of lowering sound pressure rather than shutting out sound completely.
Music detail is part of the pitch, not an independent finding
The maker says the filter maintains a flat frequency response and preserves musical detail while reducing sound pressure. There are no independent attenuation measurements or listening tests in the available material, however, so those performance claims have yet to be tested outside the manufacturer’s presentation.
The translucent-black body uses a triple-flange shape and what the maker describes as medical-grade liquid silicone rubber. Although the official announcement presents the shape as suitable across ear sizes, a single design should not be assumed to seal every ear. Users should check the seal and comfort for themselves, follow venue rules and take breaks from loud sound.
A strap and clip keep the pair close at hand
Each earplug measures 15 mm wide by 20 mm high and weighs 1 g. The included 550 mm neck strap is detachable, while the carrying case has a carabiner for attaching it to a bag. The earplugs can be rinsed with water according to the maker, and the Japanese warranty lasts one month.
A modest entry point with fit questions still open
LINEAR MAGIC may suit newcomers looking for an affordable live earplug with a tethered case. Anyone who prioritizes independently measured attenuation curves, proven listening performance or a choice of sizes may prefer to wait for third-party testing or compare other designs first.
