Red I’d want to switch between a player and a desk amp and see where the cable lands. Getting the desk setup just right is part of the fun.
Nea I’d like to listen to a familiar game soundtrack with a few different Grado cushions. I’m curious how the same quiet passage might come across with each one.
A new 44mm driver in an open-back design
The S150 uses a newly developed 44mm S dynamic driver with a paper-composite diaphragm based on technology from the larger 52mm drivers in the HP100 SE and S950. Open-back designs leave the rear of the housing open and allow sound to escape into the room, something to bear in mind at a shared desk.

Analog connections and a choice of cushions
The Signature Bronze cable connects to a 3.5mm socket on each earcup. At the source end, the standard cable has a 3.5mm plug and comes with a 6.3mm adapter for equipment with the larger socket. A phone without an analog headphone socket would need a suitable separate audio adapter.
The padded leather headband contains a flexible steel band for adjusting inward tension. F cushions are supplied as standard, and Grado says the S150 supports its full range of headphone cushions, allowing listeners to explore different fits and sound.
US pricing starts at $295
The US base configuration with the standard 3.5mm connection, included 6.3mm adapter and a 6-foot cable costs $295. Longer-cable and alternative-connector configurations cost more.
Grado’s October 22 preorder announcement says shipping is expected to begin in early November 2026. What Hi-Fi?’s report from the same day instead lists availability in late November.
